Your dish ‘Hawkes Bay lamb rack, slowly cooked and grilled with thyme and rosemary with a port sauce, a hint of coffee and honey-cured figs; was noted by assessors for the perfectly cooked and flavorsome lamb, tender and succulent. Excellent flavour combinations in the sauce, garnish and accompaniments contributed to a highly enjoyable meal. Well done.

Why did we get it?
Your dish Irish stew made with lamb shanks and legs was praised by assessors for the nicely cooked lamb, reasonably tender if a little bland. Assessors commented on the overall execution of dish components however felt the dish lacked vibrancy and texture contrasts. Overall however, this was an enjoyable meal.
